Job Description

BarWell Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker to provide dedicated in-home care to an elderly Spanish-speaking client. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required, as effective communication is essential for this role.

About the Position

You will be providing one-on-one support in the client's home, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. This role is ideal for someone who values meaningful connections and takes pride in delivering high-quality care.

What You'll Do

Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support

Support safe mobility, transfers, and light physical activity

Prepare nutritious meals suited to the client's needs

Keep the home clean, organized, and safe

Provide medication reminders as directed

Communicate effectively with family members and collaborate with healthcare providers

Maintain a respectful, patient, and person-centered approach at all times

What You Need

PSW certificate (required)

Fluent Spanish and English (required)

Current Vulnerable Sector Check

Valid First Aid/CPR certification

2-3 professional references

Experience in home care, long-term care, or working with seniors is an asset

Strong communication skills, reliability, and a genuine commitment to caregiving
