We are looking for a full-time experienced

Spanish Teacher

for our Senior School, teaching

IB DP Spanish Language A & B for Grades 8 -12.

Responsibilities:




As an Experienced IB Teacher at UNISUS, you will have the opportunity to:

Plan, prepare, and execute engaging Spanish lessons for Grade 8-12 students based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, incorporating creative teaching methods and innovative pedagogical approaches. Foster a student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, inquiry, and a deep understanding of subject matter. Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and use data to refine teaching strategies, ensuring students' academic growth and success. Embrace and celebrate diversity in the classroom, creating an inclusive atmosphere that respects and values the cultural backgrounds of our international student body. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education and IB curriculum developments. Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-disciplinary learning experiences and innovative teaching methods. Encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities, guiding them in pursuing their passions and interests beyond the classroom. Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing insights into student progress and fostering a strong school-home partnership.

Qualifications:



Must be eligible to work in Canada.

A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Native Spanish Speaker preferred. Ability to also teach French is a preferred asset. A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching the IB curriculum in an international setting. BC Teaching Certificate of Qualification or an Independent School, Subject Restricted Qualification are mandatory. Relevant IB Training is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for innovation in education and a commitment to student success.
