pour notre

bureau de Montreal

. Nous souhaitons trouver une personne en mesure de travailler sous supervision limitee et faisant de la souscription d'affaires nouvelles dans les limites des pouvoirs qui lui sont attribues. Cette personne sera responsable de rechercher des occasions d'affaires dans le secteur de l'assurance chantier. Il s'agit d'un poste ideal pour un souscripteur technique chevronne disposant d'un solide reseau de courtiers. Ce poste relevera du directeur general au Quebec.

Responsabilites du poste

Ce poste inclut :

Fournir un service exceptionnel a nos courtiers partenaires et agir a titre de fournisseur de solutions (c.-a-d., constituer la principale personne-ressource pour les clients). Creer et maintenir des relations d'affaires positives au sein du milieu du courtage. Solliciter des occasions d'affaires nouvelles. Participer aux visites chez les courtiers et toute autre taches connexes. Gerer les relations avec les courtiers et agir a titre de personne-ressource au besoin. Negocier avec efficacite les conditions generales avec les courtiers et les marches. Analyser les affaires nouvelles en matiere de risque et de rentabilite en evaluant les risques par un examen des donnees de souscription et conformement aux directives de souscription, aux limites des contrats et normes de l'entreprise. Maintenir un niveau eleve de service envers les courtiers et repondre aux demandes des courtiers en temps opportun. Participer de maniere proactive a l'apprentissage et au perfectionnement des competences en matiere de souscription, y compris les garanties, les libelles, les risques, la tarification et les facteurs ayant des consequences sur les biens. Generer des benefices de souscription, une croissance organique et atteindre les objectifs de chiffre d'affaires. Maintenir la rentabilite a long terme d'un portefeuille de comptes sans egard aux conditions du marche, dans les limites des directives de souscription internes et du pouvoir de souscription individuel, ce qui comprend la capacite a negocier avec succes la duree, les conditions generales et la tarification pour realiser des affaires nouvelles et les objectifs de rentabilite. Bien comprendre les diverses solutions qu'on peut fournir par le biais de notre reseau de marches et de nos relations avec Lloyd's.

Qualifications

Minimum de cinq ans d'experience en souscription des risques en assurance chantier. Permis de courtage en assurance de dommages de l'Autorite des Marches Financiers. Bilingue : francais et anglais tant a l'oral qu'a l'ecrit. Experience en AGG un atout. Capacite a faire preuve de discernement lors du choix des risques. Solides competences a prendre des decisions et capacite a ajouter de la creativite aux risques en matiere de souscription. Creer et maintenir des relations de travail productives avec les pairs, clients et reseaux de l'industrie. Excellente ethique du travail, bonnes capacites organisationnelles et aptitude a travailler en equipe. Excellentes aptitudes a la communication : aptitudes ecrites, verbales incluant en presentation. Excellentes competences en gestion du temps, oriente sur les objectifs et autonome. Connaissance approfondie de la suite logicielle MS Office : Word, Excel, PowerPoint et Outlook.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic

Construction Underwriter

for our

Montreal Office

. We are looking for someone that can work under limited direction, underwrites new business within designated authority levels. This person will be responsible for seeking out other construction opportunities. This is an ideal role for a strong technical underwriter with strong broker networks. This role will report to the Quebec Managing Director.

hybrid position

based in our

Montreal, QC office.

Responsibilities

This position includes:

Provides exceptional service to our broker partners and acts as a solution provider (i.e. acts as the key contact to our customers). Develops and maintains positive business relationships within the brokerage community. Solicits new business opportunities. Participates in broker visitations and corporate functions as required. Manages relationships with brokers and acting as a dedicated resource as needed and required. Effectively negotiates terms and conditions with brokers and markets Analyzes new business and for risk profitability by assessing exposures and hazards as determined by a review of the underwriting data, and according to underwriting guidelines, contract authority limits and company standards. Maintains a high service level to brokers and responding to brokers inquiries on a timely basis. Proactively involved in the learning and development of underwriting skills, including coverages, wordings, exposures, pricing and factors that affects Property. Delivers underwriting profit, organic growth, and target revenue budgets. Maintains the long term profitability of a portfolio of accounts regardless of market conditions within the bounds on internal underwriting guidelines and individual underwriting authority. This includes the ability to successfully negotiate terms, conditions and pricing to achieve new business and profitability targets. Develops a strong understanding of the various solutions that can be offered through our network of local markets and Lloyd's relationships

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of Construction Underwriting experience Damage insurance broker license from the Autorite des marches financiers Bilingual in French and English (written and verbal) MGA experience an asset Ability to exercise sound judgment in risk selection Strong decision-making skills and ability to bring creativity to underwriting risks Develops and maintains productive working relationships with peers, clients, and industry networks A strong work ethic, good organizational skills and the ability to work within a team environment. Strong communication skills: Written and verbal including presentations Strong time management skills, goal oriented, and self-directed Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
