Overview

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and hospitality, along with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety while supporting the Head Chef in daily operations.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Train and mentor kitchen staff on food handling, safety protocols, and cooking techniques. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times. Participate in menu planning, costing, and recipe development.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or food service setting. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of restaurant management principles and kitchen operations. Familiarity with various cuisines and culinary trends is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to foster teamwork and collaboration among staff members. A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Pay: $25.00-$27.51 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
