We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining food safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Prepare and present high-quality dishes that meet restaurant standards.
Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labor costs effectively.
Maintain communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Experience
Proven experience in a restaurant kitchen, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management.
Familiarity with bartending is a plus but not required.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
