What You'll Do
Lead Your Station:
Organize, prepare, and maintain your section to the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and readiness for service.
Create & Elevate:
Prepare, cook, and plate dishes with precision and artistry; contribute to special events and the launch of new menu items.
Mentor & Support:
Guide junior kitchen staff, assist with onboarding new team members, and foster a collaborative, positive kitchen environment.
Ensure Quality:
Monitor ingredients and dishes for taste, presentation, and excellence before they reach our guests.
Manage Inventory:
Maintain stock levels at your station, assist with regular counts, and ensure product quality.
Prioritize Safety:
Uphold health, hygiene, and safety regulations to maintain a safe, organized workplace.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
3-5 years on similar roles.
Education:
High school diploma required; a degree in Culinary Arts or Gastronomy is highly preferred. Level 2 Food Safe Certification is an asset.
Skills:
Strong culinary techniques, knife skills, and equipment knowledge. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accountability. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.
Mindset:
A creative, innovative, and team-oriented professional who understands culinary practices, safety, and dietary needs.
Language:
Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
Work Authorization:
Must have legal status to work in Canada (valid work permit, permanent residency, or citizenship).
