Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations, with prior restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.

Duties



Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients for our menu dishes such as Shepherds Pie, Burgers, Beef Roast, Pastas, everything made from scratch using fresh raw ingredients. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment Support meal assembly and plating for service

Skills



Minimum 5 years experience leading a kitchen and training staff. Experience with making pastas and coming up with specials to run every week. Examples of our signature dishes include, housemade pastas, beef wellington, shepherds pie, etc. Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or similar setting Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer preferences is a plus Attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness standards Flexibility to adapt to different station responsibilities as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
