We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef with the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation and presentation meet our high standards. This position requires a strong background in food service and kitchen management, along with excellent leadership skills to guide and motivate the kitchen staff.
Duties
Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring quality and consistency in food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health regulations.
Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively.
Strong food preparation skills with a solid understanding of cooking techniques.
Extensive knowledge of food service operations within a restaurant environment.
Experience in restaurant management, including inventory control and staff training.
Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations.
