We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Collaborate with team members to create innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain kitchen operations.
Monitor food quality during service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or food service environment.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Previous experience in restaurant management is preferred.
Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence.
