Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities. Oversee kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow during service. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices, including proper food handling procedures. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Help manage kitchen operations, including scheduling staff shifts and maintaining cleanliness. Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food service industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety practices. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate teamwork.
