We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, manage food preparation, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. The Sous Chef will play a key role in menu planning, inventory control, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain efficient and smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities



Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to presentation, taste, and consistency Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timing Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to safety standards Lead shift management duties, including delegating tasks and monitoring staff productivity Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Skills



Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining, catering, or banquet services Proven supervisory or team management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff Expertise in food production, food handling, and food safety regulations Experience in inventory management, inventory control, and cost management Skilled in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management Knowledge of dietary requirements and department-specific dietary needs Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Strong communication skills for effective team coordination Background in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
