We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling practices.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Assist with scheduling staff shifts and managing team dynamics to foster a collaborative work atmosphere.
Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Requirements
Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Experience in team management or supervisory roles within a kitchen environment is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
