Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
Assist in menu development and execution for Boy With Knife events.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain stock.
Help maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area.
Address any issues or concerns that arise during service promptly.
Respect for other team members and a positive attitude are non-negotiable
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant setting is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations.
Experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences.
Culinary Diploma is an asset
Food Safe Certification is an asset
