As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes while ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Duties
Assist in menu planning and recipe development
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation
Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations
Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods
Participate in cooking and food preparation as required, showcasing culinary expertise
Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and communication among staff
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
Previous experience in culinary roles that demonstrate leadership capabilities
