Bar Vita is seeking a sous chef to join our new team
5 shifts per week (Tuesday to Saturday)
Responsibilities:
Assist Executive Chef to oversee the daily operations
Cooking on the line, and various prep-duties
Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours
Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
Ensure the high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas
Help in the preparation and design of all food menus
Monitor kitchen and service equipment serviceability and efficiency
Qualities & Requirements
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Familiar with industry's best practices, at least 3 years' experience as a line cook or sous chef
Red Seal Certified will be an asset
Food handlers certification
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
