We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of kitchen staff. This position requires a strong background in food preparation and cooking, along with excellent leadership and team management skills.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation activities.
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development, seasonal offerings and specials
Monitor inventory levels and counts of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and safely used by staff.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth.
Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Club experience would be beneficial
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary management.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
