We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a positive work environment for the kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation activities. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure they adhere to food handling and safety regulations. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to restaurant standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff. Familiarity with restaurant management practices and food service operations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality. Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety standards is essential.

Pay: $25.00-$28.72 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
