Overview


We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, along with experience in restaurant management and team leadership. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences through innovative menu design, high-quality food preparation, and effective kitchen management. Your role will be vital in maintaining food safety standards and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of excellence.

Duties



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food service and exceptional quality. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Manage inventory and ensure proper food handling practices are followed to maintain freshness and safety. Collaborate with management on menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety protocols, and restaurant policies. Monitor food costs and waste to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations. Previous experience in restaurant management is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively lead the kitchen team and collaborate with front-of-house staff. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
