Job Summary



Parantha Palace, a well-known destination for authentic Indian and Punjabi cuisine, is seeking a skilled and motivated

Sous Chef

to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality Indian dishes.

This position is perfect for someone with strong Indian culinary knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Sous Chef will help maintain food safety standards, supervise kitchen staff, and contribute to exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Duties & Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, recipe development, and preparation of authentic Indian dishes Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training new hires, scheduling shifts, and supporting performance improvements Oversee all food handling procedures to ensure strict compliance with safety and sanitation regulations Prepare ingredients and cook a variety of Indian items, including curries, tandoori dishes, paranthas, and other North Indian specialties Monitor kitchen operations during peak hours to ensure smooth service, speed, and quality control Maintain inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation Uphold and enforce food safety standards and cleanliness across all kitchen stations Work closely with restaurant management to enhance service delivery and overall customer satisfaction Lead by example, fostering teamwork, respect, and a positive, high-energy kitchen environment

Skills & Qualifications



Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service environment (Indian cuisine experience preferred) Strong knowledge of Indian cooking methods, spices, and preparation techniques Excellent leadership abilities with experience overseeing kitchen teams Understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety standards and kitchen safety protocols Hands-on experience with food handling, prep, and maintaining high sanitation standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse culinary team Passion for Indian cuisine and commitment to quality, consistency, and innovation
