Duties



Assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and quality control Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, safety, and adherence to recipes and standards Manage inventory control and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions effectively Lead catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely execution and exceptional guest satisfaction Enforce food safety protocols and sanitation standards across all kitchen activities Plan menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining operational efficiency Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff and managing workflow during busy periods Support restaurant management by ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality food service

Skills



Extensive culinary experience Proven supervising experience Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry Expertise in food handling, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills Experience with inventory management, cost control, and food production processes Familiarity with menu planning, shift management, and restaurant or food service management systems Excellent communication skills for coordinating with staff, suppliers, and management teams Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume environment Knowledge of banquet experience, dietary accommodations, and catering operations is highly desirable
