BOCADO RESTAURANT is currently hiring a SousChef for our new location in Collingwood!

BOCADO RESTAURANT is a Spanish inspired restaurant, with a location in Prince Edward County, BOCADO is a true expression of the Mediterranean, and Spanish cuisine through its colourful menu and thoughtful decor.

The Sous Chef will play a key role in supporting the restaurant vision for high quality service and ensuring that it is delivered, with a hands-on approach where required, in a professional, safe and efficient manner

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to lead and manage kitchen operations effectively. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation, while also maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities



Assist in the management of kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality food preparation and service. Oversee daily food preparation activities, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed by all kitchen staff. Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and communication. Participate in cooking, plating, and serving of meals during peak service times.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Supervising experience is essential; previous leadership roles are highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food service operations. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively. Experience in restaurant management is a plus. A passion for the food industry and hospitality is crucial for success in this role. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
