3+ year of high-volume kitchen experience an asset
2+ year of leadership or managing capacity in a similar workplace setting Strong organization skills, able to work calmly and effectively under pressure

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all meals for restaurant and staff.
  • Liaise daily with Restaurant team for service and quality.
  • Ensure all food supply orders are made in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed to standard.
  • Ensure all work areas in the kitchen are stocked with the specified tools, supplies, and equipment to meet business demands.
  • Oversee and direct training of new hires.
  • Participate in the preparation and design of all food menus
  • Supervises and ensures recipes are followed and a quality product is presented
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Trains team members in proper methods of preparing menu items, including portion control and portion consistency
  • Inspects food after preparation to ensure food quality standards are met and food/plate presentation is appealing and accurate
  • Assists Head Chef in budget preparation, budget tracking and costing methods
  • Develops par stock levels and procedures for maintaining levels
  • Checks coolers daily to insure product rotation and usage of product
  • Ensure proper/safe storage of all food and supplies in kitchen areas
  • Develops, implements and regularly inspects cleaning procedures
  • Focuses on Guest satisfaction by listening and responding to guests concerns
  • Investigates and resolves food quality and customer complaints
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all policies, procedures and standards
  • Follow all healthy and safety rules and guidelines
  • Conduct daily shift briefings with culinary team and stewards.
  • Participate in formal feedback, succession planning and progressive discipline for culinary team
