We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fine dining, banquet services, and kitchen management. As a key leadership figure in our kitchen, the Sous Chef will oversee daily food preparation, ensure food safety standards, and support the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring innovative and high-quality offerings
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members in food preparation and safety protocols
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards across all dishes
Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation procedures
Oversee catering events, banquets, and special functions, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction
Monitor shift operations to maintain efficiency, quality standards, and a positive work environment
Collaborate with management on staffing schedules, shift management, and operational improvements
Support the dietary department with specialized menu items or dietary accommodations as needed
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment conducive to safe food handling practices
Experience
Proven experience in fine dining establishments and banquet settings with a strong background in food production and kitchen management
Supervising experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced environments
Extensive culinary experience including menu planning, food safety, catering, and restaurant management
Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food service management systems
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Experience working within the food industry with a focus on hospitality standards and customer service excellence
Skills in food handling, cooking techniques, kitchen management, and shift supervision are essential
Strong understanding of hospitality operations combined with excellent communication skills
