Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in supervising kitchen staff. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while ensuring efficient kitchen operations. You will work closely with the Head Chef to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development. Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Manage inventory, including ordering and stock control of food supplies. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary. Assist in managing kitchen schedules and staff assignments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and best practices within the food industry. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills. Previous experience in restaurant management is preferred but not required. A commitment to providing exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences.
