Craigleith Ski Club is seeking a passionate and experienced
Sous Chef
to join our Food & Beverage team for the upcoming winter season. Our ski lodges are a hub of activity, and we're looking for a culinary professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while delivering an outstanding member and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Executive Chef in leading daily kitchen operations across one of our busy ski lodges
Demonstrate strong leadership in
customer service, communication, and teamwork
Oversee food preparation, quality control, and plating to ensure consistency and excellence
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations
Assist with ordering, inventory management, and cost controls
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or senior culinary role in a high-volume kitchen
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Red Seal certification (or working toward) considered an asset
Availability to work
full-time from November to April
, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
