Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Train and mentor kitchen staff on food handling, safety practices, and cooking techniques. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food costs effectively. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.

Experience

Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting. Supervising experience is essential for managing kitchen staff effectively. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes. Previous experience in restaurant management or team management is highly desirable. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
