As our Sous Chef, you'll take on a key hands-on leadership role in the kitchen, working closely under our Executive Sous Chef to guide the team, maintain consistency, and drive culinary excellence.



You'll be trusted to lead service with confidence, setting the tone on the line. Your ability to stay composed under pressure, lead by example, and inspire your team is central to what makes the Good Folk experience so memorable.



This elevated approach isn't limited to nightly dinner service--it also extends to bespoke private functions and upcoming culinary events, making Good Folk a dynamic and rewarding place to grow and lead.



What You'll Do:



Lead by example on the line, executing and overseeing dishes with precision and care Support the Executive Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations Mentor, train, and motivate team members to deliver consistent, high-quality plates Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency across all stations Ensure consistency in recipes, presentation, and execution throughout service Oversee prep, restocking, inventory control, and waste management Communicate clearly, delegate effectively, and troubleshoot in real time during service Uphold strict food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe, clean kitchen.

What You'll Bring:



A minimum of 3 years' experience in an elevated dining kitchen, with at least 1 year in a leadership or Sous Chef role Proven expertise on the hot line and grill, with strong protein cookery skills Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and a precise sense of timing A natural leadership presence and a collaborative, team-first mindset The ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-focused under pressure A passion for bold, flavor-driven Canadian cuisine and locally sourced ingredients Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Physical ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
