Position Summary




Onboarding of new Suppliers and Terms Negotiations Manage all Indirect Material Sourcing and Procurement Activities Assist with bid evaluations, cost analyses, price justification, and risk assessment of suppliers Assist with supplier negotiations on new procurements or changes to existing purchase orders Draft purchase orders and agreements for approval Coordinate and participate in supplier, production and marketing meetings Assists in contract execution, implementation and supplier reviews for assigned contracts Manage purchasing activities for key inventory programs
Various logistics projects & tasks

Responsibilities




Identify, develop and execute cost reduction initiatives aligned to Divisional Deflation and Purchase Price Index plans. Support individual sourcing projects and/or a set of assigned commodities by utilizing best practices, procurement tools and negotiation skills. Satisfy customer demand Maximize return on assets Ability to prioritize, meet commitments, take ownership, problem solve and be proactive while working in a team environment and providing excellent customer service Effectively utilize team boards to drive department metrics Participate in Lean activities

Qualifications




Education/Experience



Post Secondary Business Degree with Supply Chain/Operations focus Experience and/or exposure to supply chain concepts and methodologies, and a manufacturing environment

Certifications



Enrollment in Supply Chain Management Professional program

Skills



Proficient in computer skills and associated software -Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Knowledge of Quality Management Systems Proficient with standard business application software and specialized purchasing and/or materials systems Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with all internal and external contacts Superior follow up and organizational skills Knowledge of lean and quality concepts Adaptability and flexibility combined with a commitment to accuracy Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities * Proficient at reading drawings, blueprints and specifications
