The Sourcing Manager reports to Sourcing Director and is responsible for the end-to-end execution of the sourcing process for medium/high complex sourcing and contracting for Travel and Meeting & Events initiatives. The incumbent oversees sourcing strategy development, supplier selection and contract negotiations consistent with an overall Sourcing strategy and business unit objectives. The Sourcing Manager will lead project teams that include business unit stakeholders, subject matter experts and Sourcing Analysts. It is expected that the individual will bring extensive experience and expertise in Travel/Meeting & Events to contribute to the development and application of procurement and sourcing best practices across the organization.
Individual Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Lead cross-functional teams to execute on Low to Medium value/complexity sourcing projects and contracting efforts.
\xc2\xb7 Determine sourcing strategy and conduct analysis and negotiations for projects.
\xc2\xb7 Lead/support global projects, negotiate deals, and manage a broad range of suppliers (air, ground, hotel, Meetings & Events, T&E Cards, travel management companies (TMC\xe2\x80\x99s), and overall tools used to facilitate booking to expense settlement process)
\xc2\xb7 Reviews group or event request and conducts meeting qualification call with client or works directly from a list of groups.
\xc2\xb7 Research on destinations, hotels, suppliers, venues, etc. and provide recommendation on potential destinations.
\xc2\xb7 Generate and leverage market and supplier intelligence and data for development of sourcing and negotiation strategies.
\xc2\xb7 Independently provide direct leadership and support to a team of direct and indirect reports on sourcing projects. Provide strategic thought leadership to team.
Job Requirement:
\xc2\xb7 Solid sourcing experience in any of the following categories: Travel and Meetings and Events
\xc2\xb7 Experience in creating sourcing strategy.
\xc2\xb7 Undergraduate degree (business preferred)
\xc2\xb7 5+ years of progressive business experience in Travel and/or Meetings & Events category
\xc2\xb7 Have developed strategic travel category plans.
\xc2\xb7 Problem analyzer and decision maker \xe2\x80\x93 effectively searches and uses industry and market insights; able to assimilate, synthesize, and present complex information in a value-added form; attention to detail; evaluates feasibility and practicality of ideas and options; takes ownership and makes informed and timely decisions.

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location Toronto, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between $82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD
