Job Description

The Global IT Sourcing team at Thomson Reuters works across all of Thomson Reuters to ensure we are leveraging our spend on technology services as effectively as possible and within an acceptable risk perimeter to drive our corporate objectives. The successful candidate will be part of a global team responsible for sourcing contracts in addition to supporting strategic initiatives to improve supplier management processes and overall efficiency within the procurement function. You will work closely with other functions such as Finance and Legal and also have regular interaction with senior leadership.

In this role as a

Sourcing Manager

, you will:

Work on Category Plans aligned with TR's IT Strategy, working directly with stakeholders to understand their needs and to determine the right sourcing strategies. Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Risk & Compliance, ISRM, and Business teams to drive value Lead and/or support complex negotiations with IT suppliers in alignment with TR's Global Procurement methodology Identify opportunities to rationalize suppliers to optimize spend Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors

Key Deliverables:

High-quality sourcing documentation and supplier agreements Risk mitigation strategies for IT Sourcing projects Measurable annual cost reductions with robust savings tracking

About You




You're a fit for the

Sourcing Manager

if your background includes:

Procurement certification or equivalent experience At least 3-5+ years of experience in IT Sourcing including successful development and negotiation of IT agreements in excess of $1M value Contract negotiation and sourcing methodology expertise Knowledge of IT marketplace trends Self-directed with critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong analytical and project management abilities Experience in developing coherent and high-quality sourcing collateral e.g. business cases, contract summaries, executive summaries, and RFx materials etc. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
