We are currently sourcing for a dynamic leader to join our clients organization as a Sourcing Manager who is keen to mentor and lead members of the team to reach their true potential. This position is located in Toronto and is a Full Time position in the Food Industry. What you will do in the role;
Establish departmental objectives aligned with the overall organizational goals and implement strategies to achieve them.
Negotiate service guarantees at optimal costs and develop sustainable relationships with suppliers.
Develop and enforce purchasing policies, ensuring departmental compliance.
Analyze procurement costs and devise strategies for cost reduction, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Evaluate supplier competencies, market positioning, and risks through research and cost analysis.
Make purchasing decisions based on comprehensive supplier evaluations and scenario analyses.
Manage risk and negotiate contracts in adherence to industry standards.
Contribute to short-term and long-term company planning and budget development to support strategic goals.
Recruit, train, and supervise procurement department staff.
Uphold safety regulations and promote a secure work environment.
Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and comply with health, occupational, environmental, food safety, legal, and company regulations.
Comply with the Company\'s Integrated Management Systems, including Production, Quality, Food Safety, and GMP.
Perform other assigned duties.
Bachelor\'s degree in business, economics, finance, logistics, or related field required.
3-5 years of procurement experience with demonstrated leadership skills necessary.
Graduate degree in business administration or advanced procurement management specialization is an advantage.
Proficiency in sourcing software, such as Fraxion Spend Management and Promena e-Sourcing.
Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and instructional software.
Dedication to continuous improvement and quality service.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with various management levels.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Strong leadership, team-building, and management skills for mentoring and leading staff.
