Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Provides semi-skilled labour intensive assistance across a wide spectrum of drilling operations in an efficient and safe manner. Responsible for general condition and obtaining optimum life out of all site equipment and tools, location of the collar of the hole, ensuring correct alignment with front and back sites, offsets, depth and setting of the drill at the correct angle. May be responsible for the training of new drillers in a safe environment. Performs surveys according to the client. This position is for Sonic Driller Helpers or Assistant:

• Driller\'s helper experience related to sonic, environmental drilling/auguring or geotechnical drilling

• Ability to work in mining and oil & gas environments including the ability to pass pre-access, post incident, and annual drug and alcohol screening

• Valid Class 3 or Class 1 license

• Willingness to work with a wide variety of equipment

• Willingness to work long hours outdoors in all conditions

• Willingness to work hard, and travel for work

• Willingness to perform both shop based and field based work

• Willing to learn new advanced geotechnical testing techniques involving sophisticated electronic testing equipment

Education and Experience: Typically requires a High School diploma or GED or equivalent and/or a minimum of 0-3 years of directly related experience. Job Type: Full-time Experience:

• Environmental drilling/auguring/related: 3 years (preferred)
• Heavy Labour, mining, construction, etc: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 License (required)
