Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Solutions IT Designer (Pega Applications) to join our client.
Contract Period: 18 months
Pay Rate: Starting from $60 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid: onsite 4 days per week
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; Core Business Hours
Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and document a detailed solution design within SDS, and impart your subject matter expertise throughout the life cycle.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to work review and share estimates.
• Produce top-notch functional, technical, and user interface designs.
• Take Business, Enterprise Architecture, system performance, and development standards requirements to develop functional, technical, and user interface designs for an application and system.
• Review technical deliverables for quality throughout the detailed design and development phase and identify gaps or redesign as needed.
• Respect the technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines, business technology architecture, and risk and production capacity, including detailed project requirements, documentation, scope estimates, and costs.
• Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting milestones and ensuring project deliverables are on time, within budget, and adhere to the corporate quality and security standards.
• Find ways to keep costs low and help develop strategic solutions to support cost-effectiveness and enhance stakeholder experience.
• Conduct code reviews to address quality, standards compliance, reusability, and ease of maintenance, Operational Readiness Reviews, and support gating and review sign-offs for solution design.
• Support knowledge management processes and ensure knowledge is codified, monitored, tracked, and managed.
• Ensure design leverages existing reusable components, traces back to business requirements.
• Identify and address any issue that affects the integrity of the application (e.g., cross-capability/release issues).
• Work with Production Support Team to analyze Incidents and Problems to determine "trends" that could lead to areas of improvement/design changes for personal banking Branch Pega applications.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• 7+ years relevant experience, including solution designing the Pega applications
• Have a proven track record as a senior or a lead developer and a valued subject matter expert to address and resolve highly complex and multifaceted development-related issues independently

• Have working experience in Upgrades
• Able to gain deep knowledge of the business, broader organization, technical environment, standards, processes, tools, procedures, multiple programming languages, operating systems, solutions design, and other relevant technology areas from a design/support/solutions perspective
• Solid understanding and experience of Design Principles, Object-Oriented Design Patterns
