Solutions Architect
Flexible location within Manitoba

On behalf of our client, Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC), we are seeking a Solutions Architect that will be responsible for designing and presenting technology solutions to address MASC business challenges. The Solutions Architect will work in partnership with business stakeholders and technology staff to ensure that business and technology solutions are complete, integrated, and in alignment with MASC\'s strategy and technology roadmap.

As the Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and leading solution architecture and roadmap creation to support the enterprise application architecture strategy and deliver business value.
  • Providing input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment.
  • Analyzing the fitness of potential solutions, emphasizing the marketplace and organizational technical readiness for technology adoption.
  • Researching, recommending, and designing technology solutions to assist the business in meeting objectives.
  • Maintaining and communicating in-depth knowledge of existing data, processes and systems including a strong understanding of the role of each system, and data flows between IT systems.
  • Providing technical leadership to the solution delivery process by developing solution architectures to drive key architectural decisions and ensure enterprise fit and sustainability.
  • Providing support to project managers on project that range from implementing new processes to integrating internal and third-party business platforms.
  • Participating in organizational change management initiatives.
You and Your Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience over multiple IT areas such as cloud-based application development, application integration, business analysis and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience designing solution architectures and developing integration solutions for complex business applications.
  • Experience analyzing and assessing technology solutions against business and technical requirements.
  • Experience managing projects using project management methodologies is considered an asset.
  • Ability to demonstrate Data Modeling and Database Design skills.
