Story Behind the Need:

  • The GTS - O&E - Engineering team at Client leads technology design, architecture and engineering efforts at the enterprise level, which provides the candidates the unique opportunity to understand how enterprise solutions are engineered at the bank, by working shoulder to shoulder with highly seasoned senior engineers and consultants.
  • The team is looking for a Solution Architect to implement industry-standard Active Directory security and compliance. The main function of the Solution Architect is to work with 3rd party vendors and internal AD operations, AD Engineering, and Security teams to analyze and provide recommendations on GPOs and AD trusts.

Typical Day in Role:
  • Reporting to Senior Manager Enterprise Platform - AD Operations, the Solution Architect will be working with multiple stakeholders and members of the team
  • Attend weekly project meetings, provide technical advice related to Active Directory, GPOs and AD trusts based on analysis of collected reports as well as recommending best practices
  • Implement changes following Client CAB standards
  • Identify gaps in the current standards
  • Identify and remove GPOs and AD trusts based on analysis output
Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
  • 10+ years of hands-on technical working experience in supporting & deploying AD, GPO & DNS in a large corporate environment with 2,500 end-users or more
  • 8+ years of working experience as a Solution Architect and Active Directory SME
  • Excellent knowledge with AD security, security principals and standards, GPOs, AD trusts, and Privileged Access
  • Industry certification, such as Microsoft certification required
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Previous FI/Banking experience is a plus
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Spanish language is preferred
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate and work closely with internal and external business partners
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction
  • Good time management and organizational skills to effectively manage high scale project
Best vs. Average Candidate:
  • Candidate who has prior Banking/FI experience within a large corporate environment
Education:
  • Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field is an asset

  • 2nd round MS Teams video interview - Round table with SMEs (30 minutes)
