Our government client in Regina, SK is looking for a Solutions Architect for a 7-month contract to start, with possible extensions, reference #C19002938. This position can be remote, anywhere in Canada. Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect for Datacenter Infrastructure and Cloud. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our datacenter and cloud infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of modern IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.What you will be doing:
Design and ArchitectureDevelop and design comprehensive architectural solutions for datacenter infrastructure and cloud services that meet business and technical requirements.Create detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and implementation plans.Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of datacenter and cloud infrastructure.Implementation and DeploymentLead the implementation of datacenter and cloud solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.Oversee the deployment of infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.Optimization and ManagementOptimize datacenter and cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.Monitor and manage the health, performance, and security of datacenter and cloud environments.Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.Security and ComplianceEnsure datacenter and cloud infrastructure adheres to security policies and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, GDPR).Implement security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls, to protect data and systems.Conduct regular security assessments and audits.Innovation and Continuous ImprovementStay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in datacenter and cloud computing.Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness.Lead initiatives for automation and orchestration to streamline operations.Stakeholder CollaborationEngage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal teams and external partners.Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance team capabilities.What you must have:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture.At least one (1) of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.Proven experience in designing and implementing datacenter solutions.Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.Experience with storage and backup solutions, including Dell PowerMax, Data Domain, Isilon, Avamar, PPDM; and automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell).Demonstrated experience in IT operations, including virtual server management, storage solutions, and network architecture.Expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), storage & backup technologies (e.g., EMC, Isilon, Veeam, Avamar, Data Domain, Power max, Commvault) and, Unix and Linux systems technologies (e.g., RHEL, AIX, Solaris, Oracle SPARC).Proficiency in cloud architecture and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS; in addition to security best practices and tools (e.g., NG firewalls, IDS, IPS, SIEM).Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and network security.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Certification such as CCIE, TOGAF, CISSP, COBIT, ITIL and additional certifications in virtualization, networking, or security.Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.Proven leadership and project management abilities; as well as ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Experience in high-stakes or healthcare-related projectsFor more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at
