This role can be located in our Calgary or Saskatoon corporate offices.

Reporting to the Sr Manager, IT Enterprise Applications, SH&E and Sustainability, the Solution Analyst will work with business users to clarify and prioritize problems/challenges to solve, align on business requirements and translate them into effective and efficient system solutions within the SH&E application portfolio.

What you will do:

• Analyze current business processes, workflows, and systems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work with technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements, are fully functional, and free of defects.
• Assist end-users with technical issues and troubleshoot problems that arise.
• Support solution delivery for projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standard.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on systems, processes, and procedures.
• Keep current with the latest technologies and trends in the industry, and apply this knowledge to improve business operations.
• Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure a successful solution implementation and adoption.
• Analyze performance metrics and feedback, identify areas for improvement, and develop recommendations to drive process and system improvements.

What you will bring:

• 2-5 years practical experience in application solution design and analysis
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related equivalent
• Familiar with design-thinking approach to problem solving and AGILE methodologies
• Proven capability and experience managing requirements gathering initiatives across multiple teams and business areas
• Experience in functional solution design and delivery across a software development lifecycle considered an asset
• Effective with creative solutioning and communication to influence and facilitate resolution of a problem/business challenge with ability to use negotiation skills when appropriate.
• Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and facilitation skills
• Ability to work independently or as a team with both technical and non-technical staff
• Willingness to learn, teach and share information with teammates, peers, management, and users
• Able to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize solution development efforts
• Results-driven individual who thrives on new challenges and opportunities
