About Our Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Health Portfolio, you will be part of a team that provides project intake services to CSDS for Nova Scotia Health (NSH), Isaak Walton Killam (IWK) Hospital, Department of Health and Wellness (DHW), Office of Professional Healthcare Recruitment (OPHR), Office of Mental Health and Addictions (OMHA) and Department of Seniors and Long Term Care (DSltC). Our work also includes technology projects that are part of Nova Scotia\'s Health Care Redevelopment program. These redevelopment projects represent a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to rethink how healthcare is delivered today and for next generations.

You will be a key member of various multi-disciplinary teams that deliver IT enabled solutions to best meet the needs of users whilst aligning with Provincial technology standards and industry best practice.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Guiding Health projects through the phases of the Architecture Review Board (ARB) approval process, from conception through to implementation of the live Production system.
  • Documenting and communicating the solution architecture to all concerned parties and managing the process to ensure the best and most cost-effective solutions get deployed to serve the citizens of Nova Scotia.
  • Engaging directly with CSDS operations and technical teams to coordinate certain aspects of implementation
  • Provide consulting and advisory services to leadership and teams within CSDS and our Health partners and participating in RFP development and evaluation
  • Understanding user needs and designing services that meet them;

  • Contributing to designing interaction patterns and standards, looking for common features across services.

As the ideal candidate, you are someone who enjoys building relationships and gaining consensus through strong stakeholder management, are willing and able to evoke change, and are keen to make a difference. Key components of success will be effective interactive communication skills (both verbal and written) and demonstrated experience working at the strategic level to identify and understand business challenges and determine how enterprise architecture can reach across multiple disciplines to help form a solution.
