Position Summary Reporting directly to the Manager, Enterprise Applications the IT Solutions Architect is responsible for the design of one or more applications or services for the organization and implementation of solutions that support Travel Alberta\xe2\x80\x99s technology business strategy. The role of the IT Solutions Architect is to engage with business partners to solve business needs and drive efficiency for new strategies that the organization has put forward. The role also focuses on enabling the business by translating business requirements into technology transformation activities, creating a technology roadmap and reconciling/integrating applications and automation where possible. The IT Solutions Architect leads initiatives on behalf of the Information technology group and leverages the information technology capabilities to execute and deliver. This may include research or leverage of Strategic partners to bring forth innovative ideas and solutions. This role also focuses on continuous service improvement with the target to deliver business value to different business units as a critical thinker who always strives to improve existing practices and continually keeps abreast of modern technologies and techniques. Other responsibilities include:

• Coordination of the technology strategy and roadmaps.
• Collection of technical requirements, architecting solutions that meet business needs.
• Delivery on the business requirements expectations.
• Reviewing technical development and evaluation of partner delivered development approaches.
• Review and validate Solution and System architecture providing best in class solutions.
• Review maintenance approaches and ensure the appropriate long-term sustainability consideration of all solutions.
• Future growth lifecycle and technical roadmap for technical solutions.
