Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solar Installer to join our team. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation and maintenance of solar panel systems. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of electrical systems, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
  • We typically lose one day a week to weather(rain/heat/snow), for that reason we work four 10 hour days to try to ensure full time hours for our crews. If it\xe2\x80\x99s a week that has five good days of weather you will be offered the extra day but not forced to work it.
  • You are able to lift up to 50 pounds. Lifting 50 pounds by yourself is rare in this job but it does happen. We have an electric lift system that brings the solar panels, racking and equipment from the ground to the roof and vice versa. Ladders are for people, not equipment.
  • You will be assembling the equipment on the roof under the training & supervision of the certified solar installers on the team. It is not complicated work with proper training and supervision.
  • You need to have your own transportation to site.
  • If you don\xe2\x80\x99t have your Working at Heights certification we will pay for the course and for your day.
The things you should consider: How do you do in the heat? It\xe2\x80\x99s gets hot on the roof, there are plenty of breaks for shade and hydration but some people just don\xe2\x80\x99t do well in the heat. How are you with heights? It\xe2\x80\x99s an extremely safe environment, everyone is harnessed and we use things like The Pitch Hopper to make things easier on the body by providing a level standing surface when you\xe2\x80\x99re on a roof. With that said, it\xe2\x80\x99s still high and you need to be comfortable with it. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.50 per hour Benefits:
