Job Description

Come and be a part of a company that values sustainable forestry, skilled craftsmanship, and the people who make it all possible -- join us as a Softwood Lumber Grader. Can you picture yourself enjoying your lunch breaks on the shores of the Madawaska River and then still home in time to go fishing before most of your friends are off work, or worse yet, stuck in traffic? In Madawaska traffic is humorously considered two pickup trucks behind a logging truck! How about enjoying access to over 100,000 acres of Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve land and the endless recreational choices available. Picture waking up each morning in an absolutely beautiful location where home ownership is still very much affordable and attainable. Have we caught your attention yet? Over 30% of our team members have been with us for over 25 years! We are actively seeking a sawmill grader to complement our crew. Start building your dreams with us in a satisfying and rewarding career where you can make a difference!

At its core, Haliburton Forest is a sustainable multi-use private land stewardship company with operations that include guided tours, forestry, sawmilling, recreational trails, value-added manufacturing, ecological research, and much more. We try to generate meaningful profits, but we do so in a manner that earns our social license and fulfills our land ethic. We try to balance sustainable forest management, manufacturing, tourism, research, and conservation all at the same time. We try to continuously improve, take risks, and grow our business, while setting a positive example for all our stakeholders.
