Position: Software Tester
To support our ambitious R&D team in developing next-generation digital health solutions, we are seeking an engaged and motivated Software Tester. Reporting to the Director of Software Quality and Information Security, you will help elevate our product portfolio and contribute to building a suite of digital solutions that better serve patients with respiratory conditions.
Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and maintain manual and automated testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design test cases and perform software verification and validation according to detailed test plans.
• Conduct device performance testing, stress testing, and security testing.
• Collaborate with software engineers to debug and resolve issues during development.
• Assist customer service in investigating and reproducing reported issues.
• Ensure compliance with medical software standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Prioritize and uphold high standards of security and data privacy in line with THORASYS policies.

Competencies and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development and testing, preferably in medical devices.
• Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance, Verification, and Validation processes.
• Experience with Test Case Management tools.
• Excellent communication skills; fluency in English and French (oral and written) required.
• Autonomous, methodical, and detail-oriented.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Additional Assets

• Experience developing automation frameworks and/or automated test cases in high-level programming languages.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 60601, or similar.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity testing.
• Agile development mindset and Scrum experience.
• Background in highly regulated industries.
• Understanding of embedded systems, data acquisition, and signal processing.
