Description

As part of the customer uniqueness project, and with a cross-functional role for 3 delivery teams, the Solutions Architect will participate in the technological implementation of customer data management solutions, as well as the decommissioning of the legacy solution portfolio. He/she will act as the link between the needs of the IT teams and the solutions of the delivery team, including responsibility for the transition between the architecture and delivery teams. He/she will work closely with various departments, both in the integration of the various tools selected (MDM - Master Data Management, RDM - Reference Data Management), and in meeting their current and future needs.

Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements into solutions and ensure design-compliant delivery for all aspects (architecture lead):
  • o System - functional and non-functional requirements, development, component selection and reuse, integration;
  • o Technological - technical and non-functional requirements, use of new design approaches (e.g. cloud computing, mobility), security, performance, availability;
  • o Organizational - processes, change management, requirements (functional specifications), legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Provide governance leadership for solution reviews and propose, review and approve architecture decisions in accordance with corporate frameworks.
  • Guarantee the solution\'s integration into affected ecosystems so as to minimize potential problems and, where probable or unavoidable, propose pragmatic workarounds.
  • Guarantee the integrity and quality of the solution - from design to delivery (end-to-end) - notably through on-the-job supervision and validation of requirements against test results.
  • Provide multidisciplinary leadership to the solution delivery team (designers, analysts, developers, etc.) and peripheral collaborators, including external suppliers.
  • Contribute to the success of the project by facilitating the management of schedule, scope and budget.
  • Maintain traceability of architectural decisions, certify technical project documents and verify that permanent documentation affected by the work is up to date.
  • Ensure the application of the methodological approach and architecture process in force within the organization.
  • With the support of and in collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team, in order to preserve corporate alignments, participate in the evolution and ensure compliance with: prescriptive enterprise framework guidelines, processes, use of standardized tools, standards and other architectural methods sanctioned by Enterprise Architecture. If necessary, submit a waiver request for exceptional cases.
  • Act as Application Manager within the Enterprise Repository to ensure that it is kept up to date, and to guarantee the accuracy of information on the applications and technologies for which he/she is responsible, in collaboration with the Application Portfolio Manager.
  • Constantly monitor architecture trends in line with corporate norms and standards
Profile :
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, business computing, information systems, computer or software engineering, mathematics or other relevant training at the same level.
  • 12 years\' experience in information technology and a minimum of 7 years as an architecture professional in various large-scale projects and organizations.
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams of internal and external resources.
  • Ability to handle multiple dimensions of a complex project simultaneously.
  • Excellent communicator and popularizer.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and advanced conflict resolution skills.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, uncertainty and frequent change.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
  • Experience in designing high-volume, high-availability applications and systems.
  • Good knowledge/understanding of key strategic IT technologies.
  • Experience of working with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), DevOps, Agile methodologies, MVP, LEAN and ITIL.
  • Very good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written. Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in digital transformation and large-scale projects will be considered an asset.
  • Experience with data management solutions (MDM, RDM, Azure Data Lake) will be considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in core platform solutions
  • Experience in system decommissioning
  • Knowledge of MS SQL databases, Mongo DB, etc.
  • Understanding of various architecture patterns (e.g. Distributed, Domain Driven Design, service-oriented, client-server, etc.)
  • Understanding of various integration patterns (e.g. Pub/Sub, CQRS, Event Sourcing, etc.).
  • Understanding of various security concepts used in the Enterprise, such as access management, logging, audits, importance of compliance, etc.
  • Proven knowledge of the financial services and insurance sector will be considered an asset.
