Software Requirement Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer specializing in requirements. You will play a key role in defining, documenting, and managing software requirements for BRP vehicle embedded and connected systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the quality, traceability, and compliance of requirements throughout the development cycle.



YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY:



Write and maintain clear, consistent, and testable software requirements.

Break down system requirements into detailed software requirements.

Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the design, development, and validation phases.

Collaborate with software architects, system engineers, software development engineers, and product validation teams.

May be required to participate in software development.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of requirements management processes.



YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering or equivalent.

Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience.

Bilingualism essential, both spoken and written (French/English).

Good understanding of embedded systems and software architectures.

Analytical mind, rigor, and attention to detail.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jama).

Knowledge and experience in programming an asset (embedded software, Android Automotive, MATLAB, etc.).
