We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our SaaS DDI QA team in Burnaby, BC, reporting to the senior manager of Software Engineering. In this hybrid role, you will be a part of the team building a SaaS-based DDI solution that enables users to centrally control and automate DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI) for hybrid and multi-cloud networks. This will involve feature validation, test automation, and partnership with Product and Development teams. This is the industry\'s first cloud managed DDI solution optimized for large-scale retail, remote, and branch office deployments. As a part of the SaaS DDI team, you will have the opportunity to use the latest technology to deliver a top-class DDI solution.

What you\'ll do:

  • Validate various features and products in Infoblox\'s cloud-based architecture
  • Automate functional tests wherever possible using industry or home-built tools
  • Review the automation code, add it to production, and monitor for daily execution
  • Partner with various cross-functional Product teams
  • Work with the offshore team on tasks and suggested test scenarios
  • Work with the Dev team and proactively escalate critical functionality issues
  • Set up on-prem hardware, run performance tests, and review results
  • Attend regular scrum and prioritize and plan QA testing
What you\'ll bring:
  • 2+ years of software testing experience
  • Automation experience using Python and Shell
  • Familiarity with CI/CD
  • Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, RPZ, SaaS, Docker/Containers, and micro-services
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services and EC2, VPC, S3, etc. is a plus
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and good networking concepts
  • Ability to debug and narrow down product issues
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering is required, master\'s degree preferred
What success looks like:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of DDI products
  • Develop automation expertise in Python and Shell
  • Learn new skills related to cloud technologies
  • Develop a good understanding of microservices architecture
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to ensure successful project execution
After about a year, you will\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Contribute toward Infoblox\'s product testing and automation
  • Contribute toward design and new ideas
  • Gain hands-on work experience in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as DevOps, Support, and Development, to build testing solutions
  • Initiate end-to-end ownership of small features, such as PI planning
  • Collaborate with senior team members and leadership to develop Product and domain knowledge

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position based in the province of British Columbia is $78,100 - $113,850 plus a corporate bonus.
