Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions.
  • Strong business and financial acumen as well as analytical and presentation skills are required for this position.
  • Proficient in using Service Now to manage software licenses, and knowledgeable in software licensing agreements and compliance requirements
  • 3-5 years experience with a minimum of 3 years work experience in software contract, technology procurement, category management, vendor management or software asset management within a buying organization, outsourcer, consulting firm or reseller.
  • Strong experience with other large software license management and or cloud providers.
  • Experience with software license compliance risk assessment, management and/or mitigation in a software audit context, particularly with Adobe/Oracle or Microsoft, but also generally, is a plus.
  • Bachelor\'s or equivalent experience, Master\'s degree preferred i.e. MBA.
  • Articulate and succinct communication skills. Experience publishing and speaking engagements is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to an Agile team as a key member, responsible for managing software licenses and policy exception requests using Service Now.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings to provide updates on progress, identify potential obstacles, and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
  • Actively contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of software license management tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of software licenses and entitlements in Service Now, including license types, quantities, and expiration dates
  • Monitor license usage and utilization trends in Service Now to identify potential license optimization opportunities and cost savings
  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures related to software licensing, leveraging Service Now capabilities to streamline and automate processes
  • Successfully reduce software licensing costs through license harvesting
  • Act as a SME for vendors such as Microsoft + Adobe for license management
  • Maintain accurate records of all policy exception requests and approvals, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of approved policy exceptions to ensure ongoing compliance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Manage escalations and resolve issues related to policy exception requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • Subject matter expertise in Service Now, Oracle, Adobe, Microsoft Licensing with the ability to demonstrate trends in the software and cloud services market.
The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
