You will have the opportunity to contribute to intelligent camera surveillance systems through cutting edge research and software engineering.We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of developers working on C# web based applications and APIs. The ideal candidate will have experience building and leading high-performing teams and a strong technical background successfully delivering production, public facing, large scale, cloud based applications and APIs.Responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of 4-6 Software Developers
• Collaborating with developers, Scrum Master and Product Owner to ensure successful delivery of business commitments
• Working with the Scrum Master to continuously improve team performance, focusing on process and best practice improvements, individual and group coaching, and mentoring
• Leveraging extensive technical experience to enhance ways of working, software development, and quality practices Partnering with project leads to build robust, maintainable, high quality, complex and large scale systems
• Overseeing staffing, performance management, career and individual development

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science
• 3+ years of experience managing software development teams in a large organization, working on complex, production, customer facing cloud based .NET based applications
• 7+ years of experience in software development, design and architecture
• 3+ years of experience developing public web services and APIs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record of building and maintaining large scale public facing production applications and APIs
• Strong, hands on experience in application design and architecture
• Demonstrated ability building strong, high-performing teams
• Good knowledge of current Quality and Continuous Delivery technologies and practices.
• Good understanding of Azure or GCP cloud ecosystems

This position is based in Vancouver, BC and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area as you will be required to go into the office on a hybrid work schedule.The base salary for this position in British Columbia is 130,000 - 150,000 CAD depending on experience.#LI-CA1Basic Requirements
