About the role

At NewRich we provide e-learning, turn-key solutions, and mentorship for digital entrepreneurs. Our core offering is a hybrid SaaS + educational platform + social network.


As an

Engineering Manager

you will be responsible for managing projects to ensure the proposed plan abides by the timeline, team capacity, budget, and scope. This role involves both technical expertise, project management, and people management skills.

Requirements

Drive the technical roadmap for the team in close collaboration with the PM and the product roadmap. Manage and improve systems to maintain high service availability for our customers. Enable your team first; deliver your own projects second. Act as the glue for execution (e.g., organizing sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) in a way that fosters effective collaboration with the rest of the company. Support and mentor the engineers on your team (around 5) to grow their careers. Maintain a healthy team culture characterized by trust and psychological safety. Collaborate with Recruiting to grow your team over the next few years. Coordinate resolution of production incidents.

What you'll need

3+ years of experience managing small teams of engineers.

5+ years of software development experience.

Experience building SaaS products. Experience building or designing any of the following systems: social networks, messaging applications, ERP systems or CRMs Proven track record leading diverse and distributed teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; advanced degrees are a plus. Experience in production environments with any of the following (or equivalents):

React

PHP

, AWS, PostgreSQL. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Collaborative mindset focused on business impact. Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment with ambiguity. Excellent communication skills.

We provide a competitive salary range for this role - which is

130,000 - 160,000 CAD

- depending on level and experience. Please note this range is intended as a guide, not a guarantee. Final compensation will be based on individual qualifications, relevant experience, and the scope of the role.
