Role Summary:
Internship Term:
Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2026 through June 2028.

Note that if your university has specific requirements for internship programs, it is your responsibility to fulfill those requirements.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to our product public release cycle: test mobile app new features and regression features.
Cooperate with product owners, product managers, developers, engineers and integration managers to Integrate new features on mobile app with Rivian Truck and SUV and Rivian cloud.
Identify potential problems and work with developers to resolve application bottlenecks.
Design test plan, test cases and test execution plan for our products. Improve the release process.
Develop internal tools for various teams to enhance efficiency. Such as automation framework for web or mobile, API testing framework, performance testing, vehicle simulators, and software to control hardware
Design and develop DevOps pipelines with CI tools: Jenkins, Gitlab, AWS, Docker and more
This position requires hands-on physical interaction with hardware in the Vancouver office.
Qualifications:
Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at an accredited university
Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in computer science or software/computer engineering or electrical engineering.
Have an interest in breaking products and finding issues and providing solutions.
Love to work in office environment
Familiarity with some coding languages. Preferably Python
Familiarity with code versioning tools and use Git bash
Familiarity with iOS, Android, MacOS, Linux and Windows. Able to configure and manage these platforms
Top-notch teamwork and communication skills. Good at documentation to share knowledge.
Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to collaboratively work with and influence cross-functional
Ability to adapt fast-paced development environments
Eager to learn and make changes on EV industry
Experience with Agile and related tools preferred
Work with automation framework and CICD preferred
Have previous software testing and understand the product release cycle preferred
Experience with electronic parts with firmware, electrical equipment, and other hardware preferred
