Role Summary:

Internship Term:

Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2026 through June 2028.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop Rivian and Volkswagen group technologies mobile applications and its associated SDK for mobile devices on Android OS Develop sample and demo applications making use of our technology Collaborating with the and product and the design team to define app features. Ensuring quality and performance of application to specifications. Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks. Fixing application bugs before final release. Maintaining the code and atomization of the application. Designing and implementing application updates. Upgrading to Android Developer Requirements Grow your skills with continual learning, workshops, conferences and talks

Qualifications:
Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at an accredited university Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Familiarity with Kotlin, Java, and C++. Ability to use the Android Studio, including the Android SDK, with ease. Excellent coding and proofreading skills. Top-notch teamwork and communication skills Knowledge of Android design principles and application interface guidelines. Familiarity with the best in class Software development practices. Familiarity code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket and others. Familiarity with push notifications, APIs and cloud messaging. Experience with continuous integration. Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to collaboratively work with and influence cross-functional Experience with iOS development including Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Xcode is a big plus.
